at home . the living room in december
23 Jan

we kept things pretty clean and simple for our three december celebrations this year — lots of white, some repurposing of last year‘s holiday crafts (an era when i had significantly more spare time), and a few new photos and animal friends. happy wintery goodness.

you make me gasp.
at first glance i read this as ‘you make me gag’. hahaha.
Your decorations are beautifully simple, love them. Also would it be ok to ask where your awesome Christmas tree is from? I’ve been wanting to know since I saw it in a lila was here image. Am very tempted to make something similar with some rope lights and netting!
thank you :) we found it at ikea last year! it would be super easy to make — it’s essentially just rope lights and fishing line!
I love the juxtaposition between the dark walls and white decorations. It really makes it pop!
So I clicked on the link to see what decorations you used for last Christmas, and WOW! Look at Lila! She sure has grown! My little girl is going to be three in March, so they’re very similar in age. It’s amazing the growing they do from 2 to 3. From toddler to kid. (I don’t know whether to smile or cry.)
Your home looks absolutely lovely. I love how you traded out the decor for each event, but kept it simple and clean. Beautiful.
two to three has been so crazy! i actually was shocked myself when i went back looking for that post. (and thank you!)
Gorgeous! :-) your family and your home are just beautiful!
perfect, as always.
Absolutely perfect.
Can I ask what paint color you used on the wall?
thank you :) the paint is behr intellectual!
so pretty, The fact that you kept it so clean and simple is what makes this so stunning
I absolutely adore your style. So beautiful!
Simple and perfect. I always intend on making decorations but my eyes are too big for my crafting skills :) ha!
Andrea, I think my place would make your head spin. I grew up in India and there is no end the amount of colour we have here hehehe your decor is so simple and lovely!
haha, don’t get me wrong — i love colour too :) :)
Gorgeous! May I ask where you got the gray “hello my name is” nametags???
thanks! i just made them in photoshop and then printed them out on sticker paper :)
Love your style!! Love the grey! And love your new blog! Can I ask where the stockings are from?
stockings were purchased at chapters (a canadian bookstore chain) last winter!
and thank you!!
I just love the way you decorate your home.. you are just full of style.. and grace.. and uhhhh TALENT :) xo
I had a really hard time going from 1 to 2 so I have no idea how you did all of this so beautifully with a newborn – I love your style, thanks for sharing!
Gorgeous! Where did you find the snowballs?
anthro last winter!
love love love your stitched circle garland! I might steal that idea for my new nursery…! ;)
& I was totally going to design & print out “hello my name is” stickers to avoid confusion, cause the next babe will be called by a middle name if it’s a boy–& just saw that you did that. Guess I am not so original after all! ha! super cute.
