i am at a loss for words.
the coolest birth announcements…EVER!
you rock!
Hey I just found your blog via pinterest! I am actually about to make a baby shower invite similar to your birth announcement, and just wondering if you had these printed somewhere professionally, or if you printed them off your printer at home? and how that worked with the watercolor paper you used? They are really beautiful!
hi jamie! thanks for stopping by :) i did have these printed at a pro lab. i love the softness of the watercolour paper for them but i’m not sure how it would work on a home printer. perhaps worth a try? you could definitely sew on the regular glossy postcard style announcements/invites as well!
Thanks andrea! I agree thats probably the better way to go, especially for a large quantity. and i love your idea of using watercolor paper! Thanks for your help and ideas!
Hi!
Just found your blog via pinterest and I am officially in love with these birth announcements. I am having a baby soon and would loooooooooove to do a similar idea. You are so creative! These are so beautiful!
I have a couple questions though:
Did you print the photo on watercolor paper as well? Or is it a regular print on matte photo paper?
thank you!
thanks elyse! it’s actually two identical double sided announcements sewn together, so yes, both sides are watercolour paper :)
IN LOVE ! I Love love love everything about these.
LOVE these! And his little face? And you for being so dang crafty! Xoxo
uh. you rock. the end. everyone else can go home now. ;)
Oh my goodness, these are darling! So sweet! Amazing job and seems so perfect for announcing a baby!
oh my gosh these are to die for! what font did you use?
thanks! typical writer :)
Amazing
Just wondering…what type of needle/thread/sewing foot did you use to do this?!?
i just used the standard foot and needle that were on my machine! (there may be a better option, but it worked for me!)
