let’s party . buffalo check sledding party

27 Feb

three months ago we celebrated lila and cole’s fifth and second birthdays with a sledding birthday party. it’s probably time i shared it :)

a few of my favourite bits: the custom watercolour portraits by kate klassen, the wooden flag bunting, the photos from the kids’ birthday session (i’ll post those soon too!), the “s’mores on a stick” (so yummy!), the build your own snowman kit party favours, the almost buffalo check cake (thanks to these pans), the hot chocolate station at the hill, the awesome time everyone had sledding despite the storm that came up just as we headed outside, and being surrounded by so many of our favourite people at the same time :)

it was a really good day.

I have that same cake pan, but I love the effect of yours. How the top and bottom layers are tilted… how did you do that? So neat.

haha, that would be the result of the red velvet batter being too runny :)
